This class is intended for people who are new to medical billing or in need of a basic refresher class.

In order to sit for the CMBSTM examination you must be a current member of the Medical Association of Billers. You can take the PowerWeekend™ as a non-member for educational purposes and receive a Certificate of Completion.

Changes to the PowerWeekend™
Over the years the most overwhelming suggestion was to make the CMBSTM Power Weekend longer so starting in 2015 the PowerWeekend will now be 2.5 days.  Saturday and Sunday we will cover all of the information on the exam and Monday will be the review and 2-hour exam.

What is included in the PowerWeekend™ program fee?
The Power Weekend includes all class materials, the CMBSTM Final Exam, and coffee breaks. Please note lunch is on your own.

What is the program fee?
The CMBS™ PowerWeekend™ training is still only $450 for Association Members ($500 for non-Members). You must be a member to sit for the Certified Medical Billing Specialist® Exam. Non-members can take the PowerWeekend™ and receive a Certificate of Completion.   Now there are 2 ways to take the exam.
  1. Take the exam on Monday after the PowerWeekend™ and the cost is only $50 (normally $199)
  2. Ttake the exam within 30 days of the PowerWeekend™ at a Proctor Site and the exam is $100.
This way there is no stress.  If you are not ready to sit for the exam, you have an additional 30 days!

Test Out
If you possess the knowledge and would like to take the certification exam only, you may test out on Monday at the PowerWeekend and not attend the entire weekend. The cost to test out is $199. You must be a member of the Medical Association of Billers to sit for the exam. For more information on the test out please go to: Test Out Procedures page.
